Getting started with the Activity Centre.

Contact us

We would be very happy to discuss your requirements and answer any questions you may have about how the website works and whether it is suitable for you. If you wish, we will give you a demonstration. We won't use any hard sell tactics. To contact us click here.

The setup process

Getting started with the Activity Centre is easy. We ask you to designate the people who will be responsible for editing the website contents. This can be one person or several, each looking after different pages. You can change the team whenever you wish. One person will be the Website Controller and they will have overall control on behalf of the group. This person is the first point of contact with MeadowSoftware.com. He or she can allocate website roles to other members, in line with the wishes of the committee.

We ask you to tell us the website address you want to use, so that we can register it for you. The MeadowSoftware team then establishes the new website for you.

Once the website is up and running we provide you with a temporary web address which allows you to access the website and populate it with any content you want before actually going live. The temporary web address allows your club officials to learn how to use the website before you are in a situation where the whole club is using it. It also allows you to type in what you want to display on your Home Page. Once you are happy with your website we will switch you over to your permanent web address and you can officially declare yourself as live.

The Activity Centre is broken down into modules with the most important ones being Users, Events, Reports, Notices and Photographs. Each one of these modules is managed by a person in your group who has the appropriate website role assigned to them. These roles are assigned to them by the Website Controller. It is therefore necessary for your group to have a discussion about who would like to manage one of these modules before your club 'goes live'. You should note however that some clubs choose to have a single person manage the whole website as multiple roles can be assigned to one person. It is also possible for the Website Controller to run the website on his or her own.
