MeadowSoftware.com adds MeadowMail electronic messaging to the Activity Centre. This new secure messaging service allows group members to communicate electronically with this new dedicated Activity Centre module.

The system is based on e-mail but is integrated completely within the Activity Centre so each registered member can log in and send secure messages to other group members. The system has an optional alert feature to prompt members by e-mail when have new MeadowMail.

The system is designed to aid communication within the group. So for example, if a member has volunteered to lead a walk other members can communicate directly with the leader without the leader needing to disclose any personal information like e-mail address or telephone number. This is especially useful for the group secretaries empowered with publishing new walks and social events on the group’s website.

The Social Calendar also contains a special feature whereby interested members can sign up to a specific event online. As they do so their MeadowMail address is automatically included. So if the event organiser needs to alter arrangements at the last minute, he or she can do so by sending a MeadowMail message to all attendees.
